EliteDOCS Instructions
If you are already a member, choose the "sign in" option in the upper right corner of your screen. A space will appear for you to enter your user name and password. Initially we have set up every user as "Dr FirstInitial LastName." Notice there is no period and a space. Replace FirstInitial LastName with your first initial and last name. Choose "Forgot Password." Your password will be sent to your email address. When you get it, log in. You can also choose the option to automatically sign in at your next visit by checking the box below.
Logging in for the first time? You will want to customize your account. To do this, click on your name in the upper right corner of the screen next to where you clicked "sign in." Here you can customize your profile. Feel free to change your Name and password as well as upload a photo so that members will recognize you when they meet you! If you change your Name and password, you will need to log in next time even if you have checked the auto-login box. Next you'll want to choose the forums to which you want to belong. Choose the "Forums" tab. In the first box on the right, you will see an option for "Forum Subscriptions." Click this and you will see the forums available. Simply click the boxes of the forums you like and "Save."
Using the Forums. Once you have chosen the forums you like in the "Customizing Your Account" section, you can then view all of the activity that has taken place as well as post your own questions. Start by choosing the "Forum" tab listed on the bar just below the D.O.C.S. logo. Your forums will show on the next screen. Simply click the topic you want to discuss or investigate, and the activity will appear. At the top you will see an option to "Post." Use this to post a new question or thread.
If you would like to respond to a subject already listed, click on the subject. The entire thread will open. Inside the thread, you will see many different options for responding. Two options that you will find very helpful are "Reply," which will send your answer to the forum, and "Contact," which will send your answer only to the individual listed in the post.
Like what you see and want to save it where you can always find it? Choose "Favorites" and this post will be added to your personal favorites box.
Here is another powerful resource tool. If you find that one member constantly posts interesting material, click on their name under the thread subject. You will be able to view other posts by the same individual!
Responding to posts and threads is just like writing an email. You will have options to change basics like font and colors, as well as adding attachments and photos. Everything will run through virus protection software so everyone is protected.
Inside each forum, you will see a button marked "Forum Options" that will allow you to make choices for viewing the information and receiving notification. You can choose to view information from the start of the thread or by the latest information posted. You can choose to receive an email each time something is posted, or never, if you choose.
Whichever way you choose, when there is activity on a Forum to which you belong, you will receive an email to let you know of the activity there. Inside the email will be a link taking you directly to the site.
Nothing has been lost either! All of the transactions from the 5 years EliteDOCS was on the program are listed in the Archives Forum. You will find years of stored information at your fingertips.
Faculty response is easy. Once you are signed in, you will see a button on every page that connects you directly with Dr. Anthony Feck and Dr. Leslie Fang. You can't miss it, their pictures are on the button! Simply click on the faces and you will send an email directly to them.
If you are not a D.O.C.S. member and would like to join the forum, you can send a request to join D.O.C.S.' membership services department by choosing "Join" in the upper right corner of your screen. Someone will contact you shortly and get you connected!
Forgot your password? When logging in, you will see a link to request your password should you forget it. Click the link and complete the form. A new password will be sent to you. You can change it again in your profile.
